As shown in the attached picture on the left, it adopts a bifurcated two-wing structure:

The single top connecting plate attaches to the calf orthosis, while two side wings at the bottom secure the foot plate. An adjustable rotary joint in the middle controls ankle flexion and extension angles, making it the core movable component of Ankle-Foot Orthosis (AFO).

It is applied in adult and pediatric ankle-foot orthoses, paraplegia rehabilitation braces and foot drop orthoses. The stainless steel hinge enables controlled ankle movement. Different bar widths fit orthotic plates of varying thickness; smaller sizes come at lower prices.
