Patients in different situations can choose crutches that are suitable for themselves.

、 A cane is the most commonly used tool that is supported by one hand to assist walking. When using a cane, the muscle strength of the upper arm and shoulder must be normal to maintain considerable stability.
、 Forearm supported crutches, also known as elbow crutches, are jointly supported by the forearm and hand. They are suitable for patients with poor lying strength, weak forearm strength, but do not need to use armpit crutches. They are lightweight and beautiful, but their stability is not as good as armpit crutches and upper arm crutches.
、 The Triceps supporting crutch, also known as the upper arm crutch, can be selected when the stability of the elbow joint is poor and the strength of the Triceps muscle of the upper arm is weakened, and the stability is between the axillary crutch and the elbow crutch.
、 Axillary support crutches, also known as armpit crutches, are relatively reliable and stable. They are commonly used in severe cases after paraplegia and polio. When elbow joint stability is poor, they can be used. When wrist joint stability is poor, armpit crutches with wrist joint fixation straps need to be used. Double armpit crutches can be used for lower limb paralysis, and one side armpit crutches can be used for complete paralysis of a single lower limb.
