Maintenance

The lower limb prosthesis is equipped with screws, rivets, clamps and other connecting parts. After a long time of use, these parts may become loose, rusty, and broken. In order to use it safely, it should be checked regularly.

Practice

Particular attention should be paid to small parts during inspection. When the parts are loose, you can tighten the screws yourself, and apply lubricant to the movable parts every week. In daily use, try to avoid immersing the prosthesis in water or rain. After the prosthesis is immersed in water or rain, it should be dried as soon as possible and placed in a dry and ventilated environment. If the parts of the prosthesis have abnormal noises, cracks or even breaks during use, they must be replaced in time. If conditions permit, find a professional for maintenance and repair every six months.
